Addison Oaks Buhl Estate Wedding | Katharine + Erik

The best wedding – ever! This wedding was special to me, not only was it my best friends wedding, but I was also photographing it while in it! Thank goodness for a wonderful second shooter to help with this amazing day. Katharine and Erik chose the Addison Oaks Buhl Estate for their wedding, because not only is it an amazing venue, but this is where Katharine’s parents met. The Buhl Estate offers amazing views out their enormous windows overlooking the beautiful grounds, a warm atmosphere with woodwork everywhere, and rooms filled with furniture to make it a great onsite location for getting ready. Did I mentioned who their officiant was? M Dad! My Dad married these two, his first wedding ever, and I think he’s a pro. Not only did my Dad marry them but my daughter was also one of the flower girls. This day was all around special, but seeing my best friend get married after years of wondering as little girls who we would marry.. ahh! Happy tears. Moving on from the sappy stuff, Katharine and Erik had the most amazing array of food I’ve seen at a wedding – and I’ve photographed A LOT of weddings. Celebrating with them and their family, who are literally family to me, was definitely a day to remember.
